Meagan Esbin joined the lab as a postdoctoral fellow. She earned her Ph.D. in the Tjian-Darzacq Group at UC Berkeley. Meagan was awarded the Jane Coffin Childs Fellowship (Class of 2025) for her project focused on discovering placental strategies that regulate aneuploidy tolerance.

Olivia Waters was selected as one of five undergraduate fellows in the ISCRM Undergraduate Summer Fellows Program to work on the trophoblast resilience project with Katie.

Andrew’s paper on marmoset blastoids for aneuploidy modeling was selected as Editor’s Choice for the Molecular Human Reproduction New Innovator Series.

Katie did an amazing job presenting her work on the role of P53 in chromosomal instability in placental trophoblasts at the 58th NW Developmental Biology Meeting.

Danyang was awarded the Washington Research Foundation Fellowship. Her fellowship project focuses on developing stem cell therapy for ovarian dysfunction.

We are delighted to announce the inauguration of the Yang Lab, commencing operations on August 1st, 2023. In a strategic partnership with the Hamazaki Lab, which opened on July 1st, 2023, we are situated on the second floor of the 'S' Building on the SLU Campus of the University of Washington. Through our joint efforts, we've cultivated the idea and space of Stem Cell Genomics Lab, a compact nexus of groundbreaking research and innovation in the field.
